Impressions can be deceiving. The world has taught Connie that. Monsters don’t hide in shadows or under beds, like she believed as a little girl. Instead, they walk in broad daylight with handsome faces and warm smiles. What’s worse, the nightmares they awaken within her are memories rather than creations of her own imagination.

But, what if it didn’t have to be that way?

Connie and The Revolutionists think they have the answer. An idea that will finally make things fair.

Unless they’re wrong. Will the new world be any better than the old, or will Connie find she’s made the worst mistake of her life?

*** Circe: The Beginning is meant as a prequel to the True Souls’ series. At around 3,000 words, it is a short story. This dystopian, science-fiction novel contains some cursing and violence.

I read all my reviews, so feel free to let me know what you think!

About lisamorrowbooks

Lisa Morrow is a life-long reader who treasures fantasy in all forms. Being a middle child in a large family gave her a unique perspective on the world, but few experiences compare to her time spent studying abroad in Cambridge, England and wandering throughout Europe. After her travels, Lisa settled down in Arizona to teach junior high English, and later, to spend time with her young children, husband, and cats. To some people, her life may seem quiet. But to her, every day is spent in a world colored by the imagination of children, and fantastical worlds created by her very own mind.

Tired of YA tropes where kids always seem to run the government better than adults? Well check out a short story from a good friend of mine!
